TERMS & POLICIES

DISCLAIMER/ RIGHT OF ADMISSION

The content of this document is automatically accepted and binding on any person entering the property of Amelia's by the Sea,  including the premises, parking or making use of the facilities is done so entirely at persons own risk.

​To the extent permissible in law, the owners shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any death, injury or harm to any person or property and/or loss or damage whatsoever arising to any property of any person, whether arising from negligence or any other cause however.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY

When booking please note 50% of the total is due immediately to secure your booking, and the balance is due the week before arrival.

If guests cancel their bookings during the following time frames the following applies: 

  • Cancel 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the total. 

  • Cancel 14 days before arrival, forfeit 75% of the deposit. 

  • Cancel 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of  the deposit.

  • Cancel 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES

Please take note of the following important house rules when making your booking: 

  • No babies, or children under the age of 12.

  • No parties may be held on the premises. 

  • No smoking inside the suites. 

  • No drunkenly disorder or behaviour. 

  • No drugs or firearms. 

  • There is limited parking inside the premises, but there is street parking. 

  • Quiet times are from 22h00 - 07h00. 

  • Guest visitors may not stay over. If it is found that visitors stayed over you will be billed an additional per person fee. 

  • Guests are to bring their own swimming towels. 

  • Towels will be replaced every 3rd day for guests staying longer periods.

  • Any breaking/ damage to property will be billed to the guests accordingly.

  • once off cleaning fee of R250 is charged per booking for each suite: 

    • If guests are staying for longer than 1 week, a cleaning fee is charged per week. 

    • If a guest books out both suites at once, a cleaning fee is still charged per suite. 

    • The cleaning fee covers all linen changes, and basic household cleaning. 

PRICING OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES

The following additional services are offered are at a fee: 

  • Self service laundry facilities: 

    • R100 per load to wash 

    • R100 per load to tumble dry (Drying time is 20 minutes per load)  

  • Breakfast is available by prior arrangement at R165 per person. 

  • Daily cleaning service available upon request at R200.00 per cleaning for the Sailor’s Suite and R180.00 for the Captain’s Suite.

TERMS FOR PETS 

The following rules apply for pets: 

  • A fee of R50 per day per dog will apply.

  • Small lap dogs by prior arrangement only - Dogs have to be well mannered, house trained and sociable with other dogs.

  • Any damages occurred by guests dogs will be charged accordingly.

  • Maximum of 2 small lap dogs is permitted in the Sailor’s suite & 1 small lap dog in the Captain’s suite is permitted

  • Should it be agreed that your dog may stay, he/ she may not be left unattended for long periods at a time. 

  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. 

  • No cats, no reptiles and no birds are allowed.
